Seminar Description: Building effective networks and relationships with peers and key stakeholders is important to getting work done. It is particularly important during times of intense change. Your effectiveness depends on your ability to influence stakeholders in a variety of challenging settings and situations.

In this full-day seminar, you will learn how to build an effective network for influence, assess and increase your ability to apply power positively, and adapt your communication to meet the needs of a variety of audiences and stakeholders (internal and external) including suppliers, peers, and senior managers.
Seminar Outline:
  • Define the purposes and impact of positive relationship networks on personal and work group effectiveness
  • Determine the linkage requirements that are needed for you/your team to effectively deliver the results that are required
  • Analyze the effectiveness of your current personal network in achieving your short and long-term goals
  • Review and demonstrate key strategies and behaviours for developing an effective network
  • Demonstrate effective conversation skills that build relationships of trust and influence
  • Identify strategies and tactics to overcome relationship and network obstacles
  • Develop a plan for increasing the effectiveness of personal and professional relationship networks and influence
