Seminar Description: Do you lose sleep over conversations that you wish you could do over–and do better? Does your job require you to deal with angry or difficult people? Is it time to get some fresh insight and new tools so you can take control of the situation?

Learn the art of communicating with challenging personalities without becoming one yourself. With a focus on practical tips, Verbal Gymnastics helps you stretch your communication muscles and tone your verbal technique with the help of a professional communications coach. This entertaining and interactive seminar highlights the power of words to turn conflict into cooperation.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Deal with people who have a conflict style that’s different from theirs. They will learn about the five different personality styles, identify their own and gain new insight into how to deal with others.
• Build cooperation instead of resistance when they ask someone to change a behaviour.
• Diffuse an angry person and gain their cooperation.
• Tell the difference between a bully and a difficult person, and know what to do if they see a co-worker being bullied, if they supervise a bully or if they themselves are being bullied.
• Deal with stressful situations in a positive way by shifting their perception and using physical tricks.
Seminar Outline:
  • Arm yourself with stress busters and happiness hacks for tough days
  • Discover how bullies are different from difficult people–and how they require a different approach
  • Learn how to diffuse an angry person and work together toward a solution
  • Deliver fast and foolproof feedback that builds cooperation
  • Gain new insight into how stress short-circuits communication
  • Discover your preferred conflict style and how to deal with all the others
Who Will Benefit: Anyone interested in learning how to communicate with clarity and impact in difficult situations, at work, at home and at play.
