Seminar Description: This full-day seminar builds upon the content of Business Diagnostics Online: Comprehensive, an online seminar offered by CPA Alberta.

In the first part of this seminar, participants will have the opportunity to consolidate and expand their knowledge of Business Diagnostics. They will be able to enhance their skills in applying the Business Diagnostics approach to small businesses facing financing and opera-tional challenges.

Succession planning is a challenge now for many small business owners as they contemplate retirement or even a move to a new business arena. Building on the first part of the course, participants will learn how to apply Business Diagnostics to this fast-developing new busi-ness area. Based on his own extensive practical experience, Mike Thompson, lead author of Business Diagnostics, will guide participants through various options that business owners need to consider.

During the day, a comprehensive case study (Marston Control Devices) is used to illustrate the various real-life business situations encountered in growing enterprise value and ad-dressing succession issues.

Participants will be provided with pragmatic Business Diagnostics planning tools (both hard copy and on-line) along with unique growth/succession readiness checklists.

Please note that all participants in this seminar must have completed Business Diagnostics Online: Comprehensive offered by CPA Alberta in partnership with NetLearn prior to the start date of this seminar. If a participant has not taken Business Diagnostics Online: Comprehensive, they will be withdrawn from the seminar.
